They say the second child does everything faster than the first – turns out Nova’s a good month or two ahead of Tycho because he was 16 months before we hit full-toddler. She figured out how to climb up the learning tower in the kitchen and now it’s just “MAMA. MAMA. MAMA.” while pointing at various foods on the counter. (She flat-out screams when we tell her she’s not allowed to have our beer or coffee, it’s great.) Meanwhile, Tycho got his first ribbon at swim class and was SO proud of himself — and he moved up to a geared bike!

It was a very full month of family and friends and adventures. We drove to LA to visit Grandma Anne and friends; came home to Aunt Carly, Uncle Josh and Luna; celebrated Tycho’s best friend’s birthday in tie-dye; went camping with preschool friends; and did so many fun Halloween adventures with Papa Stan! Nova yelled at dogs (“da-dog!”) and cars and Tycho enjoyed trying out new wheels!

  1. I loved the pictures with Anne. It was so great that she got to see you guys and that you got to see her, that brought tears to my eyes. And love how much you guys do outside with the kids. They are very lucky to have parents so active and that understand the importance of honoring life by doing and participating in life. I love seeing the pictures and watching them and their adventures.
Thank you for including me to be part of the fun.
