Nova’s six months old! She’s an amazing unicorn of a baby, so chill, and so excited to finally eat some food with us. When she wakes up in her crib during nap, she  usually just looks at her sheets until she falls back asleep. We wouldn’t even know she had ever been awake if it weren’t for video baby monitors. And she still sleeps 11 hours at night, more or less. She’s just so relaxed, which is fantastic because Tycho is so loud and energetic right now.

We went to Santa Cruz on Tycho’s ski break, and Tycho spent basically the whole time scooting along West Cliff Dr. and singing Sartor Mona Tessie‘s latest hit, “Don’t eat that baby don’t eat that baby… do you want to know WHY? (Why?) BECAUSE! That baby’s not foooood” on repeat. Two weeks later we got a king cake for Mardi Gras and Tycho found the baby inside and started to put it in his mouth…

“Tycho! Don’t eat that baby!” Why? “Because that baby’s not food!”

We had some really wonderful family time this month – great to see Nova with everyone, to feel their hugs, to leverage their babysitting skills and to be able to leave our house without kids!!
