When you have one child, you oooh and ahhh and take all the photos and feel so inspired you fill out two baby books and write a long blog post extolling their cuteness. When you have a second child, you spend most of your time on daily chores and hoping you can convince the toddler that you’re playing with them when you’re actually sprawled on the couch while the baby naps on your chest.

The Good: Nova is a real baby now! She is very alert and likes to hold her head up to look around. Dad gets most of the smiles :) Tycho loves preschool in the park now and thinks riding to school on the cargo bike with Dad is the best. Halloween was so much fun and Tycho was the cutest witch. The song of the month was Space Oddity!

The Bad: Nova likes to wake up every 45 minutes from about 2-5am. If one of them is asleep, the other one is probably awake. Our house has been overrun by pumpkins. What is bathing.

The Hilarious: Tycho just wants to play grocery shopping with all his play food. You are the shopper and he is the grocer and he will help you get what you need. Except you need everything. Don’t deny it. You need all the produce in the store. All the perishables. Every last fork. All eight tea cups. An entire cook set. Every kind of coffee. Hell, even the coffee maker. The only thing you don’t need is the store shelving, and that’s because it’s attached to the wall. BUY. IT. ALL. Let me ring you up. Beeeeeeeeeeeeep.
