Nova and Tycho had a lot of amazing imagination play this month! They played a lot of restaurant and going on a trip. Hilariously their concept of going on a trip is to pack a “lunch” in the play kitchen, walk to the bus stop in the living room, ride the bus (the play couch) to the airport, fly somewhere, get a rental car or take another bus to the hotel, and then go to sleep in the “hotel” (one end of the regular couch). Sometimes they’re visiting grandparents and other times they’re going to a concert! Tycho is the performer, obviously.

Various adventures this month – birthday parties, riding the Golden Gate Park carousel several times, Nova figuring out how to bike (just not brake or start haha). Kristan ran a lot this month getting ready for the SF Half Marathon the first weekend of February. Everyone got used to Mama heading out before the sun rose three or four times a week… sometimes Nova came along too in our tricked out jogging stroller. “Mama, purple lights!!” That worked out nicely with going to the coffee shop at 6am because NOVA WHY ARE YOU AWAKE.

Last but definitely not least — we had another amazing ski trip with the kids! Tycho finally successfully completed an entire ski lesson and was SO excited to go on the lift a bunch of times with Mama and Daddy. We had the brilliant idea to get Nova one of those ski harness backpacks for little kids and she LOVED it. (“Mama, you hold my leash!”) Kristan realized the handle on top was intended to help lift the kid onto a chairlift, so after a little bit of practice we tried it! Nova ended up skiing the entire day with us and it was just SO perfect. We are excited for next time!
