We blinked and Nova became this big, grown up baby when we weren’t looking! She’s crawling all over the house now fast as fast can be, investigating the records and train tracks and all the toy baskets. She really likes hanging out under the dining room table and trying to eat Tycho’s feet. She’s also outgrown the tiny potty and we’ve had to switch to the toddler one! Watching her sit in her potty corner is hilariously adorable. (Unfortunately, she pretty much refuses to use the toddler potty, which is a sad change from our 75% success rate last month…) Some firsts: We went camping! She got two teeth! She had her first bad cold and woke up shrieking every 90 minutes!

Tycho also has been changing and growing before our eyes as he approaches the big 4 in just a few days. His ability to comprehend complex subjects, to regulate his emotions and impulses, and to simply just be patient have all dramatically improved in recent weeks. He feels like such a big kid! He wants to be a part of Nova’s life in such a sweet way, he is very good at looking out for her. (“Mom! The baby gate is open! Mom! Nova’s touching Roomba! Mom! Don’t let Roomba eat Nova!!!!!!”)
