Now that Tycho’s turned 21 months, we’ve found that boundaries are key….

  • Take your shoes and jacket off when you get home… and please go use the potty and wash hands.
  • No pants, no couch
  • Thou shalt not covet thy mother’s food
  • You may not sit on Mama while she is eating
  • No hitting and no biting
  • Be nice to the table
  • Hold hands when we cross the street
  • Touch Mama gently
  • When it’s naptime, it’s time to lie down and rest
  • Ouch Mouse makes everything bettter

Of course the rules according to Tycho are a little different:

  • More food. Please. Thank you.
  • The pantry should be locked.
  • Hang up jackets.
  • You must sit on Mama to put on socks
  • Lammie and Penguin are necessary for sleeping
  • School is ok, if you would just recite the names of my friends over and over
  • Water must be poured into every dish to transform it into soup
  • We need all of the pajamas for bath time
  • Everything must be properly disposed of
  • Tychos need fika too

News this month: More words and sounds and signs! Tycho likes sandwiches and copying the older kids at school.

  1. Tough world – so many rules. Little knowing that they are just the beginning of an exponential curve! You seem to experience all the fun occurring when bringing up kids:-)
