7am

Welcome to the City by the Bay! Begin your day with a few minutes of bedside acrobatics – the latest craze from the up-and-coming bespoke wellness industry here. Then, fuel up with breakfast at Max’s House of Pancakes! Banana pancakes are the specialty of the house. Be sure to get the made-to-order drip coffee — you’re going to need it.

9am

It’s time to get outside and take in some of the sweeping vistas San Francisco is known for. If you’re feeling hardcore, hop on a road bike and pedal your way across the Golden Gate Bridge and up the Marin Headlands. Be aware – the one way tunnel through the Headlands is not for the faint of heart. If you’re corralling little ones or just feeling a little more leisurely, head over to the Clement Street Farmer’s Market for some morning snacks before taking an e-bike to San Francisco’s newest park, and one of its most stunning, the Presidio Tunnel Tops. Catch sight of the Golden Gate Bridge from the top of the park before heading down to the Outpost Playground for some friendly fun.

12pm

You’re lucky enough to be visiting during cherry blossom season, so head over to the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park. Order a few onigiri via delivery from Onigilly for the perfect picnic while you enjoy their ephemeral beauty. Feel free to catch a snooze on the back of the bike on the way over if you need a pick-me-up, and don’t forget to say hi to any old friends you stumble across. Head home for some rest before your evening adventures.

4pm

Time to hit the road, you’re heading to Jackson Square for a little shopping (with the 13th atmospheric river of the year on its way, it’s time to buy a rain cover for your backpack!). A short stroll up the hill will take you to the more exciting atmosphere of North Beach. With restaurants in just about every storefront, it’s hard to pick, but for a great view of Columbus St and the Transamerica Pyramid, get tapas and cocktails at Red Window. Be sure to wave to every bus that drives by! Skip dessert so you have room for the last part of the adventure.

6pm

From Red Window, walk a few short blocks to Chinatown to pick up some special snacks for your friends at home at the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Co. Then, walk to Magical Ice Cream for rolled ice cream made in front of your eyes. You can go crazy with toppings or keep it simple with fresh fruit like mango and strawberries.

7pm

As you’re driving home, realize you’ll be passing your best friend’s house near Lafayette Park, so send a quick text and pull over for some joyful waving and peek-a-boo from the car. Could this day get any better? Lastly, fall asleep in your cozy bed cuddling your favorite book and sleeping with a pillow for the first time in your life. There’s always something new in San Francisco!
