Nova is TWO! We had an impromptu birthday party at the Beer Garden in Golden Gate Park. Unplanned, low effort, and two-tally awesome! It was so fun to see her play with a bunch of her little friends. (Of course, if you ask her, she’ll tell you she’s three!) Her preschool playground party was pretty great too. Max made a bunch of coffee, we had celebratory donuts, and the forest kids climbed all over everything!

Other highlights from the month: Flower Piano at the Botanical Gardens, camping by the Golden Gate Bridge (and biking to get there!), the inaugural Sunset Night Market, school events, and Tycho’s first baseball game! He had no idea what was going on but there was ice cream and he was there for it. Kristan unexpectedly placed fourth at one of her weekend 5Ks, so she’s been inspired to run shorter and faster distances. Tycho and Nova enjoyed doing the kids race too!

We ended the month with our annual block party! TEN hours of nonstop fun, Nova refused to leave the party to nap, we had donuts and burgers and pizza and way too many snacks, a bounce house, an hour-long visit from our neighborhood firefighter crew, and even an after party with a movie! (The kids had passed out by that point, but Kristan had a peaceful few minutes stretched out on the outdoor rug with some popcorn.) Exhausting but worth it!
