We had such a fall-tastic month! Nova started off “Mama Preschool” with an investigation of apples. We even got to take a “field trip” to an apple orchard to pick apples and persimmons! The kids loved that they were encouraged to eat an apple right off the tree to try it out before picking lots from that tree. Nova was so excited about her new special time with Mama and started asking to “Do Mama Preschool!” within just a few days.

Tycho has been having fun doing drums and drama enrichment classes after school. He loves making patterns on the drums! (But he wants a drum set. Meep.) He also surprised us all by earning his next swim class ribbon just a couple of weeks after his last one! It’s been so nice to have him actually enjoy swim class finally. His school had its book fair at the local bookstore, and Tycho was SO excited to get a sticker book about flags of the world. His recognition rate is already really incredible!

We were also all super excited to visit Carly, Josh and Luna in Nashville! It was such a wonderful time together and we were so grateful for all the breaks from parenting. Tycho wasn’t even interested in hanging out with us when we returned from our night away. The gate agent hilariously freaked out about the 36 kids on our flight home, but it was one of the quietest, easiest flights. Love how all those flights to Hawaii in the past year means the kids think any flight under 5 hours is nothing!

  1. Wow, amazing photos (as always). I love reading these updates and seeing the new batch of photos. I realized when I saw the photo of Tycho in his winter hat, that it was one of the only photos I’ve ever seen of him without his hair. I especially loved the photo with the Kears in Nashville, and the one with Josh and Tycho. Thank you for sharing these with us. Love you!!!
