June! Nova finished the school year first with a very cute “moving on ceremony” – jumping through the Window Tree! She built up so much speed in her run over to us she nearly knocked Kristan down. Tycho was able to leave school for an hour to join – it was extra special to have him there too. Tycho had his last field trip of the year to Dolores Park for ice cream and watercolor painting. And then he was seven!
His birthday started off with a treasure hunt – he had to solve clues in order to find each present, leading up to an extra special Lego train set! We got to visit his classroom to read a book (“What a Map Can Do”) and help create his birthday book. Nova got to come too and was only a little distracting…. (Tycho said she *had* to come because “all my friends want her there!”) Then our plans for birthday mini golf with a friend were foiled last minute but we pivoted to the arcade and it was mostly successful! Such a nice, fun day. And Tycho lost his first tooth the day after! (And swallowed it before we knew it had happened….) Tycho finished his school year happy and looking forward to second grade – he’s already missing school and can’t wait to go back!
Kristan went on a long weekend friends’ trip to Bend – a brief strep scare but everyone was fine thankfully! And Max, Tycho and Nova had a bunch of fun adventures while she was gone. Go SF City! Tycho and Kristan ran a few 5Ks this month and Tycho got a new personal best at the SF Pride Run, yay!
I enjoyed the photos and the comments.
