Welcome, summer! We started the month with a week at Camp Mather with friends… truly the best! We tie dyed, climbed rocks, swam in the pool at the bottom of a waterfall, ate food three times a day and didn’t have to cook or clean up, messed around on walkie-talkies (“Dad are you on walkie?!?!”), stayed up late watching the talent show and a movie, made s’mores, hiked, floated on the lake, lost a watermelon contest and, in Tycho’s case, another tooth too! So much fun, and we can’t wait to go back next year!
When we got back, we had some downtime to get things done we’d been putting off… Tycho went to trampoline camp for a week, then joined Nova at forest school camp. They didn’t get to be together as much as we had hoped but it was still nice to have them in more or less the same place. Our summer bucket list included some fun things like more SF City FC games, Legoland Discovery Center – the Indian food we had for lunch was the real highlight of the day! – and Filoli for the nature trolls with friends.
And then Malin, Jimmy, Sam and Sigrid came to visit for a whole week! We miss them already. We got to play tourist in our own city! Chinatown, North Beach, Coit Tower, Lombard Street, Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz (congrats to our three new Junior Rangers!), Ghirardelli Square, Fort Mason, the San Francisco Marathon Saturday 5K (another PR for Tycho!), a bike ride along JFK Promenade to Sunset Dunes, pizza night at home for Malin’s birthday. So fun! We all needed a nap after so of course we went to a Giants game the evening they left, because we have to work on the aforementioned bucket list!
Your family is sooo busy, are doing so many things, so that I almost loose my breath.
The Trolls are of Danish origin!
First time I hear from people, who are using Waymo. Must be special experience.
Great to learn, that you are in good contract with Malin & Co.
