This month flew by thanks to a few big-ticket events! Kristan ran a half marathon – either just under or just over two hours depending on your timing system (whomp whomp). Tycho performed with his class in his third Follies concert and we continued our tradition of a “late-night” celebration with ice cream! And as usual, Valentine’s Day was sweet with a little valentine exchange in the morning.
Both kids had a school break so we did a “ski week” in Park City – ski lessons, library, lego, watching the Olympics – it was mentally relaxing but also physically tiring! A snowstorm mid-week upped the snow levels enough that we got to make a snowman and have a little “powder” time. Nova loved her instructor so much we signed her up for four days of lessons, which meant by the time we left she was doing some easy blue runs with us!
In other special news – We celebrated Mardi Gras and Lunar New Year! The kids watched the Superb Owl with our neighbor friends! Tycho lost another tooth! Nova made a fire at school and tie-dyed a scarf using dye they made out of sourgrass they picked (!). Plus we got a new “phone” for the kids to call aforementioned neighbor friends! (Oh, and family too :P)
